ISM Recruitment is excited to partner with our client to recruit for the role of Transport Planner. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, progressive company with a strong commitment to customer service, where you will lead real-time overnight operations and prepare plans for the day ahead in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
o Organize collection and shipping of trailers to and from Dublin.
o Ensure cross-checking of all customs clearance.
o Oversee night-to-night operations across all operational functions, including drivers, deliveries, incidences, and planning.
o Monitor all drivers’ real-time deliveries and provide instruction and support to ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction.
o Work with the pool of available drivers to address any unaccompanied trailers arriving into Dublin.
o Ensure loaded trailers leaving Dublin unaccompanied do so promptly and safely.
o Maintain constant communications with the warehouse team as trailers become ready for dispatch.
o Prepare paperwork for drivers’ deliveries.
o Provide a smooth handover to the daytime team.
Candidate Requirements:
o Minimum 2 years’ previous experience within the transport industry.
o Proven customer service experience, via telephone and email.
o Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
o Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and prioritize workload.
o Capability to work to deadlines, both as part of a team and on own initiative.
o Valid driver’s license preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
€45,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Hours:
7pm to 7am (4 on 4 off)
