CPC COMPULSORY TRAINING FOR UKRAINIANS

Ukrainian Professional Drivers Support

Ukrainian truck and bus drivers who are living in Ireland on a temporary basis and who hold a category C or D Ukrainian licence and a Ukrainian CPC card will be able to apply for an Irish Driver CPC card by completing CPC additional compulsory training. This training, provided by ISM, includes:

Step 1. CPC theoretical test Centre: https://theorytest.ie/
  • CPC Truck or CPC Bus or CPC bus/truck combines theoretical tests.
Step 2. Driving in ISM truck or bus fleet in the Dublin area (meet up point in ISM Finglas):
  • 8 hours of supervised driving for vehicles of categories C, C1, CE, and C1E
  • 8 hours of supervised driving for vehicles of categories D, D1, DE, and D1E.
Step 3. Driver CPC classroom training course in ISM Finglas or Tallaght Training Centres:
  • 35 hours for vehicles of categories C, C1, CE, C1E, or
  • 35 hours for vehicles of categories D, D1, DE, D1E, or
  • 42 hours for a combination of vehicles of categories C, C1, CE, C1E and D, D1, DE, D1E.

Upon completing the additional compulsory training (steps 1 – 3) the driver can apply to the Driver Education Section in RSA for their Driver CPC qualification card.

ISM CPC Team will assist you in applying for financial support for this training. We will also help you with all the relevant documentation required to access this training and organise the full course.

UKRAINIAN DRIVERS’ REQUIREMENTS

Documents Prior to Training

Ukrainian truck and bus drivers must submit and get approval from the Driver Education Section in RSA before the start of the training course. Contact ISM CPC Team to get help. We will assist you with your application form, help you to get financial support and organise the full training for you.

Truck and Bus Drivers need to provide the following documents:

  • Copy of Ukrainian driving licence
  • Copy of valid Ukrainian Driver CPC qualification card
  • Copy of permission to reside in Ireland
  • A relevant medical report.

Once the driver has satisfied the requirements above and received confirmation of approval from RSA, then the CPC Additional Compulsory Training can start.
