Purpose:
Reporting to the General Manager, this person will professionally represent the Company in business to business and business to consumer relationships mainly, but not limited to, in Dublin and greater Dublin areas. Through this, achieve b2b and b2c sales, increase brand awareness and increase existing customer engagement with the broader company group.
This role suits a person who is comfortable presenting at b2b meetings online or face to face, making business development calls over the phone and in person, and the ability to work with a diverse group of associates. These skills require excellent written and spoken English.
This is a full-time role, based at ISM Head Office in Dublin 11 (close to M50 exit 5). Full, clean category “B” driving licence is required for external meetings. Company will provide access to a vehicle during working hours for external meetings, or for appointments at our Tallaght Training Centre or at our Santry office, if required.
The Company is the leading provider in Ireland of their services, established for over six decades. Over our three sectors of business, the Driving School, Training Services and ISM Recruitment, there are approximately 45 admin staff and over 200 training staff nationwide.
Responsibilities:
” Recognise new sales opportunities, increase existing engagement through sales and brand awareness and develop new lines of business.
” Manage and plan existing and new b2b accounts to achieve maximum results.
” Develop, present and agree customer / service specific proposals.
” Develop and implement new customer acquisition plan.
” Develop, manage and grow relationships with existing b2b customers.
” Work closely with colleagues in terms of enhancing and developing digital marketing that will aid sales to achieve maximum results. Use sales support technology in an effective manner.
” When required, work closely with General Manager and Office Manager to ensure that Company is represented appropriately.
” Support General Manager and Office Manager in managing operational activities of scheduling staff and resources for services that the company delivers.
” Complete all required administration to agreed deadlines.
” Be available to carry out special projects in line with Company Plans.
Required Competencies:
Business Planning:
The ability to identify and understand our customers varying requirements and potential. To develop business and to apply relevant and appropriate business development techniques, measures and behaviours.
Organisation Skills:
The ability to organise time, tasks and administration to maximise effectively productivity and efficiency to meet personal and company goals. This includes problem-solving and being able to think on your feet.
Commercial Acumen:
To be able to demonstrate a high-level understanding of the Transport and Logistics industry, with a strong emphasis to increase our Training Services portfolio. This includes financial awareness, market and customer knowledge. It will be an advantage to have prior knowledge of the Transport and Logistics Training industry, but not essential.
Sales Skills:
No cold-calling is necessary but a detailed understanding and ability to apply sales techniques suitable for b2b business and b2c business. This entails Sales Planning, Call Preparation, The Call and Follow Up.
Product Knowledge:
To fully understand and have the ability to clearly explain all aspects, features and benefits of the company product range (full training will be given).
Self-Skills:
To be aware of how you interact, communicate and present yourself to internal and external customers. Work effectively as a member of a team. To apply and develop the necessary behaviours to be successful in your role and adapt to cultural and process change in a positive manner. You are a self-starter, with high initiative and you are not afraid to think and voice your views.
IT Skills:
Ability to effectively use and understand Microsoft Office/CRM to high level.
Salary:
€45K to €55K DOE
