About ISM Car Lessons in Tulla

Essential Driver Training, also known as EDT, is a mandatory training course of twelve car, B category licence, driving lessons. The learner driver curriculum is designed by the Road Safety Authority and it focuses on all the fundamental driving skills that car learner drivers need. It is part of the RSA’s Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) scheme and is intended to improve road safety.
When you receive your learner permit, you will need to complete a minimum of 12 one-hour lessons before applying for your driving test. These 12 lessons are the EDTs and are regarded as a minimum number of lessons. In general, learner drivers need more lessons to prepare for a lifetime of safe driving habits and to pass their driving test the first time. Learning to drive is always an individual process and the pace of it depends on the learner’s existing skills, abilities and knowledge.

Doing your driving test in Tulla, Claire?

ISM’s Approved Pre-Test Instructors cover all Test Routes from every Driving Test Centre in Ireland. At ISM you are guaranteed a professional and personal service from our local qualified ADI Instructors.
During your short Pre-Test course, your instructor will cover all the manoeuvers and of course will correct all those “bad habits” to have you prepared properly for your Driving Test.
Professional Pre-Test tuition is essential if you are going to succeed and give yourself every chance to pass your Driving Test on your first time. One of the main reasons candidates fail the driving test is because of lack of preparation. With this in mind, ISM also offers practical pre-test courses that offer students a simulation of the Driving Test with one of our expert ADIs. These courses help build your confidence and specifically focus on the areas where you may need further practice. We recommend a Four-Hour Course (2 x 2-hour lessons) which will give you the best chance of passing your Driving Test the first time. Our pre-test lessons cover the actual test routes from every RSA test centre in the country. We have specialist Tutors based at all Driving Test Centres throughout Ireland.
