Shunter Training
Manoeuvring and reversing vehicles is a major cause of workplace accidents and can lead to serious and sometimes fatal injuries. In a recent report the Health and Safety Authority revealed that reversing activity was involved in 11% of all fatal workplace transport accidents. To minimise and manage your risk Shunter Drivers, need to be trained in how to safely operate within their working environment.
Who Should Attend:
Employees who are required to operate vehicles for yard shunting purposes and who currently do not hold a licence for the vehicle type they wish to operate.

Course Content:
The training is delivered on a 1 to 1 basis with an RSA Approved Driving Instructor and includes vehicle checks, vehicle controls, coupling and uncoupling, observation, reversing, loading and unloading and overall vehicle preparation.
Requirements:
- Fully licenced B class or above for a minimum of 1 year.
Certification:
- ISM Certification and Operator ID card
