Our client one of the country’s leading contract management and logistics solutions providers. Established in 1995 it is a family run Business, located in North County Dublin, specialising in services for Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. Highly focused on team building and flexibility, is now actively recruiting an experienced Transport Planner for the office in Dublin North.

Reporting to Operations manager you will be responsible for:
” Monitoring incoming orders
” Scheduling of orders to drivers
” Ongoing rescheduling of loads and routes for both domestic and export distribution
” Liaising with Drivers
” Communicating with customers regarding delivery times
” Updating order list
” General Administration
” Ad Hoc Duties
” Possible travel to other site locations

Candidate Requirements:
” At least 2 years as Transport Planner with an established transport/logistics provider with a proven ability to solve logistical issues to the customers satisfaction.
” Own transport and clean licence.
” Must be able to work as part of a team.
” Be able to work in a pressurised team environment
” Strong interpersonal and communication skills
” Fluency in spoken and written English
” Ability to make quick decisions
” Can work solely and on their own initiative.
” Good knowledge in Excel

Salary & Benefits:
Salary Range from €35,000 (Gross) increase to €37,000 after 3 months’ probation if successful. Potential to earn 43,000 (Gross) after 2 years

Hours of Work:
The working days are 4 days over 7
10 hour shifts
40 hour working week.
