Job Title: Yard Supervisor for formwork/scaffolding supplies
Ref No: VAC-18577
Location: County Dublin (South)
Company Description:
Our Client is one of the world’s leading formwork, scaffolding, and engineering providers. They are currently looking to recruit a Yard Supervisor for a permanent contract, starting in January 2021.
Reporting to Yard Manager you will be responsible for:
To assist and support Yard Manager in meeting customer expectations; by providing a comprehensive first-class operational service.
” Ensuring the operation’s department efficiencies are maintained at the targeted level to ensure the performance of the region
” Safety and well-being of all staff, customers, and visitors
” Maintenance and upkeep of all Company assets, property, and services in conjunction with Yard Manager
” Working closely with functional heads/managers to ensure consistent, efficient working practices.
” Daily supervision of yard staff
” Providing further development of operations staff
” Direct and indirect responsibility for the processing of customer orders and off-hires
” Working closely with Order Management and other departments always
” Material movements/loading & unloading trucks as required with forklift.
” Communication of all key information to the operations staff
Candidate Requirements:
Training
” Health and Safety (ISOSH or similar qualification)
Experience
” Experience in working with formwork and/or scaffolding products, especially PERI products, is desirable but not essential
1. Substantial forklift experience essential. Up to date counterbalance forklift ticket (ability to use 3.5T and 5T capacity forks)
” Valid Manual Handling Cert.
” Valid Full Clean Driving License
” Experience in supervising a team of comparable size
” Experience in supervision and staff development
” Logistics experience in a similar type of business
” Practical knowledge of basic Health and Safety
” Hands on experience of working within a busy yard environment
” Practical knowledge of writing reports and dealing with Health and Safety risk assessments

” Strong, supervisory personality able to lead and motivate a team
” Strong on communication and social skills
” Objective-orientated
” Strong work ethic, open, reliable, and flexible
” Outstanding organisational skills
” Sympathetic to the PERI culture
Other criteria
” Good knowledge of MS office
” Ability to learn and adapt to the Client and its products quickly
Salary and Benefits:
35-40K, dependant on experience and qualifiacations
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday
