Pre Test Lessons

ISM provides professional Pre-Test Lessons covering all Test Routes from the Finglas, Tallaght, Rathgar and Navan Test Centres. ISM provides dedicated Motorcycle Instructors who are familiar with all test routes which will be shown to you during your training. Testers generally stick to proven routes to ensure the applicant demonstrates their ability to ride a motorcycle safely in a wide variety of road and traffic conditions.

Irish School of Motoring (ISM) is the largest Motorcycle Training School in Ireland and our Instructors boast a 90% Overall Test Pass Rate with our short pretest course.

ISM provides the newest bikes in the industry – none of our competitors come near to matching the quality of motorbikes, or the facilities that ISM provides. We provide new bikes for lessons and test hire at best prices – we also offer discounts if you want to use your own bike.

Our Pre-Test Lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis using radio systems (same systems as used on your test) to ensure constant communication between you and your Instructor. It is recommended that you schedule a two-hour pretest session at least two weeks before your test date which will allow you time to practice and if necessary book a second session to ensure you pass your test first time.

Pre-test Lessons cover all aspects of the test; from Rules of the Road theory, bike checks, bike maintenance and of course the practical element of the test – the on-road test. At the end of every Pre-Test Lesson, your Instructor will provide you with a comprehensive debriefing session giving you written “results” of your performance. With our 90% Test Pass Rate, ISM is the best choice to pass your test first time.

A map has such small print, it's impossible to safely read it while driving. If you are needing to find a specific address, write out the basic directions in large writing and short sentences, before you drive there. If you must read the directions (not the map) while on the road, do it where you are stopped.
