When buying a pre-owned vehicle, you're always running a risk. It's up to you to do as much homework as you can to avoid disappointment. A great way to gather information about your potential new vehicle is to study the vehicle history report.

What to pay close attention to:

Number of Owners

The rule is generally that the quality of the vehicle decreases as the amount of owners increases

Mileage

This can be viewed on the odomoter, but the mileage recorded in the vehicle history report will give an accurate account of how it's accumulated; many miles over a short space, for eg should raise alarm bells.
