Safe Advanced Eco Driving Lessons
ISM are delighted to offer our customers a unique training package that will not only make them a safer, more confident driver, but will also save them between 10 and 15% on their annual fuel bills.
What will I learn as an Advanced Driver?
Essential driving techniques for the experienced driver such as:
- Night Driving
- Motorway Driving
- Driving in Hazardous Conditions
- Dealing with Skids
- Advanced Observation, Anticipation and Planning Skills
- Manoeuvring
- Block Changing
How to apply Advanced Eco Driving skills such as the ‘Limit Point’ and the ‘System of Vehicle Control’ to drive more safely and efficiently.
Tried and tested techniques that can save you between 10 and 15% on your annual fuel bills.
What does the training entail?
Each training session is conducted in the drivers' own vehicle on a 1:1 basis over 2 hours. There will be an initial assessment, followed by full training and then a final assessment to record progress.
Areas covered will include:
- Most efficient start up process
- Correct Use of Gears
- Forward Planning
- Motorway / Dual Carriageway Driving
- Hazard Management
- Separation distance
Trainees will receive a certificate of attendance and a comprehensive report on their driving in the areas of safety and fuel economy.
They will also receive a professional post training plan that will ensure continued progress after the session. It is strongly recommended that each trainee return to ISM for follow on training when they feel they are ready to make continued progress.
What else do ISM Advanced offer the experience driver?
ISM Advanced also offer dedicated 1:1 or group in class Presentations, online psychometric tests and essential reading material such as ‘Roadcraft: The Police Driver’s Handbook’.
We also offer our customers the opportunity to take the training in a dedicated vehicle fitted with an Advanced Telematics System that will provide a detailed report on the driving style related to fuel economy.
